We are looking for a Trainee Dental Nurse / Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team. This is a varied role combining dental nursing and reception duties in a busy, modern practice.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support dentists chairside while also assisting with reception and administrative tasks when required. You will be working as part of a supportive team, helping to ensure high standards of patient care and smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality dental nursing support during a range of dental procedures
- Assist with reception duties including patient communication and appointment management
- Follow all practice policies, infection control procedures, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records (SFD experience desirable but not essential)
- Support compliance with CQC standards
- Work collaboratively with the dental team and maintain professional conduct at all times
- Undertake CPD in line with GDC requirements and maintain registration
Requirements
- Currently enrolled on a Dental Nurse training course with practical experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, flexible, and able to use own initiative
- Positive attitude and willingness to work across nursing and reception duties
- Basic IT skills (SFD experience advantageous but not essential)
