The Deluxe Group has a deserved reputation as a quality leader in its chosen markets, delivering high-end bespoke fit-out and manufacturing services to the Luxury Hospitality, Marine, Super Prime Residential, Education, Commercial Office and Themed Attractions sectors. Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding Commercial team based at our Head Office in Portadown, Co. Armagh. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to develop their career in Quantity Surveying within a fast-paced and innovative business.

Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, you will gain valuable exposure to the commercial management of a diverse range of prestigious, high-value projects. This role requires only occasional travel.

What you'll be involved in:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of valuations.
  • Supporting the preparation and pricing of variations.
  • Assisting with the procurement and management of subcontractor accounts.
  • Collating and administering subcontractor documentation.
  • Reviewing contract documents with the support of senior team members.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports and final accounts.
  • Supporting value engineering initiatives and commercial risk management.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Design Teams and Clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.

About You:

You will be enthusiastic, motivated and eager to build a successful career in Quantity Surveying. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, possess excellent analytical skills and be keen to develop your commercial knowledge within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Essential Criteria:

  • A degree (or expected degree) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A placement year or previous work experience within the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts.
