We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused HSEQ Officer to support the delivery and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management systems. The successful candidate will work closely with managers, supervisors, operatives, clients, and suppliers to ensure compliance with legal, company, and client requirements while promoting a strong safety and quality culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HSEQ advice and support to managers, supervisors, and operatives, ensuring compliance with company, legal, and client requirements.
- Drive continual improvement and positive quality performance through inspections, audits, KPI monitoring, and targeted initiatives aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and compile clear, accurate reports.
- Investigate incidents, non-conformances, and root causes, recommending corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence and improve safety culture.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, project teams, and suppliers to ensure consistent HSEQ standards across all operations.
- Deliver HSEQ training, inductions, guidance, and support on quality plans, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Prepare HSEQ reports, analyse performance data, and maintain records and registers.
- Support internal and external audits, tenders, and prequalification processes.
- Assist with the development, review, and control of HSEQ documentation.
- Carry out general HSEQ administration duties as required.
About You
- Qualification or ongoing study in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of HSEQ legislation and ISO management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Previous experience in an HSEQ or similar role is desirable but not essential.
