As a major visual communications group, we specialise in the design, print and fulfilment of promotional marketing materials. Our aim is to innovate, progress and evolve our clients’ marketing campaigns to give stand‑out in a crowded market.
Role Overview
The Transport Administrator will work as part of The Delta Group's Transport team. The Delta Group Transport Team supports all parts of the business in delivering all products produced by Delta or contracted third parties by same day, overnight, International and bespoke carriage. The Transport Administrator will work from the head office based in Bishops Stortford, full time and will support the business to ensure that all distribution requests are received into The Delta Group and fulfilled on time in full, on budget and invoiced accordingly. In addition to this, the Transport Administrator will be in communication with suppliers and third parties either by phone or e‑mail to book collections and monitor movements from collection to delivery. Other duties such as pricing orders, quotations, producing labels or supporting the retail team and other admin tasks may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing same day UK deliveries either parcels or pallets
- Ensuring vehicles are organised to accommodate the volume being despatched
- Arranging booking slots with consignee if required
- Identifying and flagging urgent and high profile orders / requests
- Manage POD reports as required
- Update all despatches on MPDO with POD information
- Manage late/non delivery issues
- Resolve queries when escalated
- Escalate queries when required
- Requesting quotes for transportation from a number of hauliers and providing the data to the Client Services Teams
- Ensure work is charged correctly for all movements, by logging on Delta's internal invoicing system, raising POs and providing PO details to all suppliers
- Ensuring processes are followed at all times
- Build and maintain client and internal relationships
- Assist Delta Logistics as and when required
