Overview
The Supervisor will lead their departmental team to ensure delivery of excellent service to our customers on a daily basis through execution of all work to plan. Working with the wider warehouse team to support the smooth running of the operation and to manage the day to day running of the e-commerce returns process. Covering under the roof processing and ensuring scanning compliance at point of delivery.
Responsibilities
- To ensure that all returns work is prepared to agreed productivity levels, quality standards and agreed customer SLAs.
- Provide detailed returns reporting to Hub Management.
- To drive productivity and quality within the departmental team.
- Direct team members to ensure all tasks are completed as required on each shift.
- Monitor & manage the performance of team members.
- Monitor and report all Sickness and Absence on daily / weekly report documents as required.
- Be responsible for H&S compliance for the team, reporting any breaches of H&S regulations and incidents/accidents.
- Participate in the recruitment and effective onboarding of new team members, completing all assigned onboarding tasks.
- Conduct induction and training for new team members and communicate work practices, procedures and methods to all team members.
- Conduct team communication sessions (team briefs) daily ensuring any priorities and changes are understood.
- To provide accurate and timely payroll information to the payroll team through the time and attendance system.
- Provide forklift truck driving support as and when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Open and/or close and secure the building as directed.
- Any other ad hoc duties required by the Company.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable previous supervisory experience.
- In industry experience or demonstratable transferrable skills.
- Able to understand the Companys Health & Safety procedures delivered in English.
- Diligent with a keen eye for detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal English.
Licenses and Certifications
- Forklift Truck Licence (or willingness to work towards) – Requirement for all Supervisors.
Full training will be provided during induction and further training will be given throughout the course of your employment, to assist in progressing your career with us.
