Shift Starts between 8am and 11am. Due to the expansion of our Kent based operations, we are seeking a number of permanent Class 2 Collection Drivers to join our Transport team based at our Aylesford location. Hours may vary. It is essential that candidates are flexible to work outside of the normal core hours when required, including some weekend work. Usual working pattern will be Monday to Friday.
The Position
- Working to specified run list provided, complete collections and deliveries to plan.
- The responsibilities of the role will be as follows:
- Collect and deliver pallets, Yorks and loose bags.
- Complete all deliveries within the timelines set out by the client.
- Provision of excellent customer service, displaying a professional attitude and behaviour to customers and staff at all times.
- Transportation and the safe delivery of Company and Customers products.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks on your allocated vehicle.
- To report any defects on the vehicle.
- To report any incidents that you or the vehicle are involved in from the location.
- To comply with the company driver behaviour guidelines.
The Individual
- To suit this role, you will have and be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Hold a full Class 2 licence with CPC modules 2 & 4.
- Strong understanding of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Be a strong communicator.
- Strong work ethic.
- Keen attention to detail and a desire to get things right the first time.
- You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude towards change.
- Be a quick and eager learner whilst being able to ask for help and assistance when needed.
- Able to use your own initiative to complete deliveries.
- Personable, polite, and friendly with an approachable nature.
- Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Previous experience of Pallet Multi Drop Deliveries (Desirable).
The Package
- You will be given full training and support to meet the requirements of the role.
- 20 Days Annual Leave, excluding public holidays.
