We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, able to work effectively both on their own and as part of a team – internally and externally, who is compassionate and passionate about supporting the Armed Forces Community.
DMWS is an international charity that has been providing medical welfare support to the Armed Forces Community for over 80 years. We are now recruiting a Welfare Officer based in Catterick, Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
- The delivery of welfare support.
- The development of strong professional networks.
- The effective management of referrals relating to the military community, ensuring serving personnel and their families receive effective welfare support at all times.
- Maintaining and developing strong multi-disciplinary relationships.
- Providing an effective service delivery under their own supervision.
- Correctly assessing the welfare needs of service users with unfaltering professionalism and sensitivity.
- Providing a rapid, solution-driven personal response to support in times of need or in crisis situations.
- Identifying and addressing complex support needs.
- Being mobile and deployable.
- Working flexibly to meet job demands.
