Welcome to the Manchester Deansgate Hotel, where modern luxury travel meets the vibrant spirit of Manchester. Nestled in the iconic Beetham Tower, this hotel features 279 elegantly designed rooms with stunning skyline views. Enjoy upscale amenities, including sky bar Cloud 23, 2 Rosette Podium Restaurant, an indoor pool, and a fitness centre. Perfect for both business and leisure travellers, with 14 meeting rooms and over 1,800 square feet of event space.
We are looking for someone who can work 39 hours, 4 nights on 3 nights off. As an Assistant Night Manager (Full-Time), you can expect to carry out the following duties:
- Supporting the Night Manager and leading the night team: You will help coordinate the shift, allocate duties, support colleagues and ensure the front office operates smoothly throughout the night. Previous experience in a night reception, front office supervisory or similar hotel role would be ideal.
- Overseeing the overnight guest journey: You will support late arrivals and early departures, monitor service standards and step in to resolve more complex guest requests or complaints. You will be confident making decisions, managing service recovery and creating a positive experience for every guest.
- Maintaining a safe and secure hotel overnight: You will coordinate relevant checks, respond appropriately to incidents and ensure accurate records and handovers are completed. A strong understanding of health and safety, security and emergency procedures would be beneficial.
- Completing night audit and operational tasks: You will review reports, support cash and system checks, monitor the reception desk and ensure key information is ready for the morning team. Experience using Opera or a similar hotel system would be an advantage.
- Helping the team deliver consistently high standards: You will coach and support colleagues, provide clear shift handovers and work closely with other departments to keep the hotel running smoothly. You will be organised, approachable and comfortable taking responsibility when the Night Manager is unavailable.
