As an Assistant Head Housekeeper, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests' needs; however, you can expect to support with the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing):

  • Supporting the Head Housekeeper with the day-to-day running of the Housekeeping department, helping to lead, motivate, train and develop the team to deliver excellent standards.
  • Assisting with team rotas and daily allocations to ensure efficient cover while supporting departmental budget goals and operational requirements.
  • Helping to welcome and train new starters, providing ongoing guidance and stepping in to lead the department when required.
  • Inspecting bedrooms and public areas, responding promptly to guest requests and maintenance issues, and identifying opportunities to improve standards and efficiency.
  • Working closely with the wider Hotel Team as 'one team' to help achieve the Hotel's goals and deliver a seamless guest experience.

We are searching for a true service superstar - someone who enjoys supporting a team and takes pride in delivering an excellent guest experience. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Housekeeping Experience and Team Support: Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry, with the confidence to support, motivate and guide a busy team.
  • Attention to Detail and Organisation: Excellent attention to detail to help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation, alongside strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Clear communication skills and a practical approach to resolving guest, team and operational issues quickly and professionally.
  • Standards and Operational Awareness: A good understanding of health and safety and housekeeping best practice, with experience supporting stock control, staffing levels and departmental costs.
