Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a Multiskilled Trade Operative. Reporting to the DCF Operations Manager, this varied and hands‑on role involves delivering high-quality maintenance services across Dean Close Foundation sites. Based at Dean Close School and Dean Close Airthrie School in Cheltenham, the position is mobile, with regular travel to sites in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Chepstow and Newport.
Working as part of the Estates Maintenance Team, you will undertake a wide range of preventative and general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, plaster repairs, tiling, minor roofing and general building works across academic, residential and commercial properties. You will also support in‑house projects, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure high standards of site presentation, safety and compliance.
The successful candidate will have broad trade skills, strong organisational and communication abilities, and a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation. A flexible and professional approach is essential when working in a busy school and residential environment, ensuring minimal disruption and positive collaboration with staff and teams across the Foundation.
