School Nurse in London

Dean Close Foundation is looking to appoint a registered nurse (NMC & RCN) to join our Health Centre team of four, supporting a community of nearly 1,000 pupils, many of whom are boarders. Paediatric, School Nurse, or SCPHN qualification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, clinically effective nursing care to pupils and Foundation staff.

Assess, diagnose, plan, and treat pupils, including first aid and emergency care.

Collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, and other health professionals.

Support pupils\’ return to health and participation in school activities.

Maintain up-to-date medical records, care plans, and adhere to safeguarding policies.

Ensure Health Centre compliance with NHS, NMC, CQC, and ISI standards.

Provide training to staff on health management and emergency interventions.

Working Hours & On-Call:

Rota-based, 08:00–17:00, Monday to Saturday, with evening and weekend on-call duties.

Desirable Skills:

Asthma specialist, phlebotomy, immunisations, triage, first responder experience.
