The Candidate:
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can be part of a friendly, hardworking team? The de Ferrers Academy is excited to welcome new exam invigilators to support our existing team. With two bustling exam centres—our Trent Campus (St Mary’s Drive) hosting GCSE and Key Stage 4 exams, and our Sixth Form Campus (Waterloo Street) running A Level and Key Stage 5 exams—you’ll have the chance to work in dynamic environments and play a vital role in helping students succeed.
Exams take place throughout the year, from pre‑public exams in December and March/April, to official external exams in November, January, and May/June. Flexibility and availability during these key times are essential, and in return, you’ll gain valuable experience and be part of a supportive team that truly values your contribution.
We provide full training and offer the opportunity to shadow experienced invigilators, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way. Plus, as a key member of our academy, you’ll complete essential training to work safely and effectively with young people—most of which is conveniently online (so IT skills are a bonus).
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be punctual, adaptable, attentive, and have excellent communication skills. Comfortable shoes are a must, as you’ll be on your feet ensuring exam conditions run smoothly.
