You will be qualified to a minimum of I.A.E.A or ATA (VDA) standard with current or experience leading an engineering function for an insurer or independent firm. You will be able to value and negotiate repair costs; provide vehicle valuations; negotiate total loss settlements and have a detailed understanding of salvage categories and claims management.
Experience of vehicle estimating systems such as Audatex, GT Motive or Glasss is essential for this opportunity. AQP qualification is preferred.
What will your day look like:
- To produce high quality reports
- Assess, value and negotiate repair costs
- Provide vehicle valuations
- Negotiate total loss settlements
- Have a detailed understanding of salvage categories
- Claims management
- Liaise with Field planning team, repairers and customers
- Support other members of the team as and when the need dictates
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Inspection scope extends from Cars to HGVS, Agricultural implements, and caravans
- Resolve customer complaints
- Consistency of damage
- Ensure instruction to reporting timescales remains within SLAs
- Contribute to an engaging and collaborative working environment
- Adapt to the constantly changing requirements of the department and the company and perform additional tasks as may be required
- Structured in your approach with effective time management and the ability to manage your workload, prioritising to ensure that deadlines are met
- Good attention to detail, analytical thinker, solutions focused and great at problem solving
