Position Overview

Job Duties
- Provide expert level tree trimming services and inspections to client properties.
- Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
- Responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees as per work specifications.
- Perform required general maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
- Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways.
- Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
- Manage customer service expectations, safely lead jobsite and crew operations.
- Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Have a valid Utility Tree Trimmer/Certified Utility Arborist ticket.
- 3 years experience performing pruning and removals from rope and saddle, and aerial lift.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Advanced chainsaw and chipper operation.
- Strong tree and shrub identification skills.
- Valid provincial driver’s license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
