Technical Support Specialist (Part-time Contract – 1 day / week for 6 months)

Location : Glasgow preferred / Scotland

Duration : 6 months (1 day per week)

The Data Gals is supporting their client undertaking a key digital transformation project to migrate the existing solution (currently on Drupal 7, PHP 5, MySQL 5) to a modern, secure, and fully supported platform hosted in Azure.

We are seeking a Technical Writer to work alongside the PHP Developer and project team to ensure all technical documentation remains accurate, structured, and aligned throughout the migration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain clear, consistent, and up-to-date project documentation.
• Work closely with the PHP Developer to capture technical details relating to Drupal development, PHP, MySQL, and Azure hosting setup.
• Create and update system documentation, API references, configuration guides, and change logs.
• Document migration processes, security protocols, and system dependencies.
• Support the creation of user facing technical documentation as needed.
• Ensure documentation meets accessibility and compliance standards.
