As a Delivery Driver (2-person Crew), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring large goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time, into our customers’ homes, while representing our commitment to excellence and customer service. Location – Dash Express Redruth, Redruth Depot, TR15 3RQ
Reports to – Operational Support Manager
Pay - £12.25 per hour (pay will be increasing in April 2026)
Shift pattern – Monday to Friday. Varying start times from 10:00am to route finish
Main Duties & Responsibilities- As part of a 2-person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service.
- Load and offload large and often heavy goods from vehicles, using appropriate manual handling aids as required.
- Accurately check and scan items out for delivery using a handheld terminal (HHT), reporting any discrepancies to your Line Manager.
- Complete pre-departure vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe to operate and report any problems to your Line Manager.
- Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards, health & safety procedures and road safety laws.
- Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day.
- At the end of the day, you will return to depot, unload and label any non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT.
- Attend driver briefings and debriefings with the manager on duty.
- Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The physical ability to manually lift and move heavy loads as part of a 2-person lift.
- Previous driving experience.
- Good time keeping and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to provide support to our customers on the phone and in person.
- All of our staff must pass a basic DBS check.
- 5.6 weeks holiday entitlement including bank holidays, increasing 1 day per year’s service up to 5 years.
