Responsibilities
- Loading and offloading of vehicles and general sortation of consignments
- Accurate checking of items out for delivery on the HHT and reporting of any discrepancies to your line Manager
- Complete vehicle checks and report any problems
- Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards and health & safety procedure
- As part of a 2 person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service
- Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day
- End of day - return to depot, unload and labelling of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT
- Driver debrief with Manager on duty
- Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day
- Previous experience of multi drop deliveries
Requirements / Qualifications
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the area
- Reliability with Good time keeping
- Excellent customer service skills
- Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Valid DBS check must be provided
- Physical fitness as heavy lifting may be required
- Experience with HHTs
