We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Operative to join the Maintenance Team here at The Dartmouth Hotel. This role is currently being offered on a fixed term basis from April until October 2026. The hotel is set on 250 acres of beautiful South Devon countryside, with two golf courses and a driving range on site, alongside 35 guest rooms and self‑catering lodges and spa and leisure facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will assist the Maintenance Manager to ensure a high standard of overall maintenance throughout the hotel. The maintenance team are an integral part of the wider hotel team and this is a very varied role incorporating many different duties, including:
- painting
- general carpentry
- upkeep of equipment and general odd jobs
- some electrical and plumbing work
- performing checks on fire and security appliances
If you have excellent problem‑solving skills, good attention to detail and the knowledge and ability to complete general maintenance duties, this would be an excellent opportunity for you. Some knowledge of leisure facilities would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
Role: 37.5 hours per week, including some weekend work on a rotation basis to provide coverage of the hotel.
