Then bring them to life every shift. /b /p p Dark Arts Bar is Southamptons magic-themed potion and cocktail bar. Our guests dont come for a drink — they come for a night theyll be talking about months later. Bubbling dry-ice potions, robes and hats, puzzle boxes solved over a cocktail, and immersive escape rooms downstairs. /p p Were looking for Front of House Hosts with charisma and enthusiasm who can adapt to their audience. Youll build a witch or wizard persona alongside our team and then embody it when on shift. /p p b Being straight with you about the job: /b this is a front of house hospitality role first. Roughly 70% of your time is table service — taking orders, running drinks, clearing and resetting tables, working the till. The other 30% is hosting our experiences: potion making, puzzle boxes and detective evenings. /p p The difference here is that you can do all of it in character. Clearing a table as yourself is a chore; clearing it as a sardonic potions master is part of the magic. If that sounds fun rather than exhausting, youll do well here. If youre looking for a purely performance role, this isnt it. /p p b What youll earn /b /p p b £12.71 – £14.59 per hour, including tronc gratuities. /b Your base rate is £12.71 with gratuities paid on top — our team currently averages £14.59 per hour all in. /p p b What youll be doing /b /p p Front of house — the bulk of the role /p p Table service: taking orders, delivering drinks with a little theatre and wit, clearing and resetting Working the till, handling payments Knowing the menu inside out, including allergens, and making great recommendations Keeping front of house clean, stocked and safe throughout the day Turning any guest complaint into a good outcome /p p Performance and experiences /p p Staying in your own witch or wizard character across the shift Hosting potion making, puzzle boxes, detective evenings, and new events as we launch them. /p p /p p b What were looking for /b /p p Someone happy to graft — this is a busy hospitality floor, and the magic doesnt clear the tables Someone who lights up in front of people: performance, improv or acting experience is a real advantage Reliable and punctual, because the show cant start without you Calm and warm when the venue is full and everyone wants something at once Comfortable with cash handling and tills Hospitality experience is welcome but not essential — well teach you the service side if you bring the personality /p p b What you get /b /p p £12.71 – £14.59 per hour including tronc gratuities. Free entry to play our bar experiences. Staff discount on food and drink. Free coffee and soft drinks on shift.
