Summary And Purpose
The Manufacturing Supervisor leads daily Goods In, Despatch, Door Drilling and Manual Packing activities, ensuring safe, efficient product flow and achievement of departmental KPIs, including processing and despatch rates and OTIF performance.
The role is responsible for final inspection, packing, documentation and despatch standards so that products arrive complete, undamaged and presentable.
Working across departments, the Supervisor develops team capability, drives continuous improvement and ensures compliance with all health and safety requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the daily activity of the department employees, ensuring Safe, efficient and productive operations
- Working to develop, and implement initiatives to optimise department processes, improve workflow and achieve operational goals
- Prioritise and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment, minimise accidents and ensure compliance with all H&S Regulations
- Coach and mentor the team to develop competence and capability required to support our goals both now and in the future. (Developing a comprehensive set of SOPs, for both Training and compliance for Audit purposes)
- Provide clear and visible leadership to drive good process control and high standards within operations and drive continuous improvement
- Always be a role model and lead by example upholding and embracing the company values
- Ensure correct documentation is completed for all dispatched items.
- Coordinate with transport teams and drivers to ensure timely departures.
General Duties
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment. Ensure Risk Assessments are Developed and Maintained on an annual basis, and or in the event of an Incident.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures. (Manual Handling / Halo etc)
- Ensure all Warehouse equipment is maintained to a high standard and Operated according to the relevant MHE requirements.
- Working with HR on recruitment for the relevant area including Interviews / Inductions and Training, including the RAs / SOPs prior to starting a task.
- Perform Investigations into any incidents / Conduct any necessary disciplinaries (with the support of HR) and Monthly OKR reviews (following the Annual setting of)
- Perform a Perpetual stock check, validating inventory control, to ensure accurate stock records at all times
- Develop a Good working relationship with Supervisors and Managers throughout the Business.
- All non-conforming issues to be recorded by means of SMR procedure and reported to the Quality Supervisor
- Proficient in Excel & other Microsoft packages.
- Carry out other tasks and duties as required.

- All transport company representatives visiting the site for collection, ensuring they are aware of company Health and Safety Policy.
- All Lead operators assigned to the goods in and despatch function
- You have the authority to stop the goods in/despatch operation and seek further guidance should you feel that any component/job is inconsistent with the job ticket/template and/or does not meet the company quality standards.
- Working Hours
Mon – Fri07:30 –4.00 but flexibility is required.
1 x 30-minute lunch daily.
