The D. E. Shaw group seeks a highly organized, resourceful, and proactive individual to provide exceptional administrative and operational support to senior executives. This individual will play a key role in keeping business initiatives organized and on track by anticipating needs, managing priorities, and maintaining a high degree of professionalism and judgment. What You'll Do Day-to-Day

  • Manage a broad range of responsibilities supporting both strategic and administrative needs of our Investor Relations team.
  • Maintain complex and dynamic calendars, prioritize and triage incoming communications, and serve as a liaison with internal teams, external stakeholders, and investors.
  • Coordinate travel, meetings, and events with precision, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Take ownership of ad hoc projects as opportunities arise.

Who We're Looking For

  • At least seven years of relevant experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience in client services, Investor Relations, or other customer-focused roles is a meaningful plus; a wide range of professional backgrounds are welcome, and no prior finance experience is required.
  • Proven ability to learn and utilize productivity software, including Slack, Confluence, and SharePoint, and to adopt generative AI into workflows; proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook) is preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail, along with exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • A track record of taking ownership of work product and excelling both independently and as part of a team.
