Mortgage Advisor in Rotherham

Job Title: Mortgage Advisor (telephone-based)

Salary: £27-28,000 plus very competitive bonus scheme and optional overtime

Location: Rotherham, Mon-Fri in office

Overview:

Our client is an established financial services business operating as a mortgage intermediary, connecting borrowers with lenders rather than lending directly.

Role:

To provide professional, compliant, telephone-based mortgage advice across a range of regulated mortgage products. The advisor will be responsible for progressing inbound mortgage leads through to completion, working in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound leads from multiple sources (online enquiries, purchased lead lists, and call centre referrals)
• Deliver compliant mortgage advice via telephone in line with MCOB regulations
• Maintain accurate records within the client management system
• Work towards individual sales and compliance targets
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and referrals where appropriate
• Ensure high levels of customer service – performance also measured on Feefo, Trustpilot, etc.

Qualifications/requirements:

• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent)
• Experience providing regulated mortgage advice
• Comfortable in telephone-based, fast-paced environments
• Strong multi-tasking and time management capabilities
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Target-oriented and resilient, with a desire to move into more complex mortgages
• Good knowledge of mortgage products and advice processes
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Desirable – Background in high street banking or estate agency mortgage sales, looking to step into more complex broker-based work
• Desirable – Exposure to both regulated and unregulated/bridging mortgage environments
