Assistant Project Manager

Melksham – hybrid with UK wide travel – drivers licence required

Our client is a well-established specialist with over 25 years of experience delivering projects across construction and office fit-out sectors. Known for quality and reliability, they work with major blue-chip clients and continue to grow thanks to their strong reputation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an up-and-coming Project Manager to gain hands-on experience, build confidence managing projects, and grow your career in a supportive, professional environment.

The Role

You’ll support the delivery of projects from order stage through to handover — coordinating contractors, resources, and schedules while keeping safety and quality at the heart of everything. You’ll also have exposure to client interaction, reporting, and problem-solving, giving you a well-rounded experience to develop your project management skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in planning and delivering projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard
  • Work closely with senior managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Help oversee site operations and ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Prepare project documentation and support progress reporting
  • Get involved in meetings, updates, and day-to-day coordination

What we’re looking for:

  • Some experience in project management within construction or fit-out
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
  • A genuine interest in developing a career in project management
  • Health & safety training (e.g. SMSTS, IOSH) is a bonus, but not essential — support will be given
