We’re looking for an Account Director to work within the client services team supporting the delivery of our client’s campaigns. Reporting into a Senior Account Director/Business Director you’ll be an essential part of the day-to-day running of client accounts. No two days will be the same; you could be working on a pop-up festival activation, planning an activation to open a new store, partnering with a PR agency to create an attention-grabbing stunt or working with the client on an event to celebrate their internal teams.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Client facing communications – including day-to-day business development, networking and forecasting.
  • Receiving briefs from a client and leading in the pitch response process from start to finish.
  • Support the Senior Account Directors/Business Director with relevant pitch RFP documentation and being a part of the strategic development.
  • Support the Senior Account Directors/Business Director in growing and developing the client base.
  • End-to-end campaign management, including overseeing timelines, suppliers, budgets and clients.
  • Reviewing briefs for all relevant internal departments or sister agencies, including staffing, creative and production – ensuring the briefs are met on time and to the right specifications.
  • Reviewing campaign implementation making sure both the client and agencies aims are met from creation through to implementation and reconciliation.
  • Creating relevant presentation decks for senior account management teams.
  • Being a lead on finance, reviewing costing and reconciliation of all budgets associated with campaigns ensuring all targets are met.
  • Oversee the brief and management of suppliers and partners required for each campaign.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting and honest relationships in line with the key disciplines.
  • Overseeing and leading creative briefings and inputting to ensure client goals are met.
  • Attend internal meetings and support both junior and senior members of the accounts team.
  • Review and manage all ROI and reporting for campaigns to ensure client goals have been met.
  • Manage and be present on site for live activations.
  • Industry insight and analysis.
  • Supporting other teams where needed.
  • Researching and collating up-to-date information and contributing to the company's social media.
  • Actively involved in writing blogs and have input into company updates.
  • Training for junior members of the team to ensure their development is achieved.

  • Ensuring all work going out to any client meets the high standards that The Current Collective promote are achieved.
  • Effectively manage own time, workload and resources and that of freelance staff.
  • Ensure that all work is accurate, and attention has been given to the finer details and ensure they are leading by example for more junior staff.
  • Apply company policies, standards and guidance and ensure colleagues understand how the guidelines will affect their work.
  • Ensure that all colleagues are kept up to date with any changes in projects.
  • Work in partnership with all team members, including cross-agency teams.
  • Be a personable, enthusiastic team player with a committed and positive outlook.
  • Initiate team catch-ups and de-brief sessions.
  • Show initiative and recommend changes to processes where applicable.
  • Be a figurehead of your own personal development.
  • Undertake ad hoc work as and when required.

What You Need

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience at Senior Account Manager level.
  • Expertise in and experience of developing and executing experiential campaigns, including excellent knowledge of events, exhibitions, guerrilla and retail brand experiences.
  • Excellent standard of literacy and numeracy and advanced skills around the creation of PowerPoints ensuring the ability to confidently present to colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent communication skills across a range of contacts.
  • An excellent understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong financial management skills and proven budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Exceptional client management skills and proven budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Awareness of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
  • Ability to be flexible and contribute to other areas of the business where required.
