We are now looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our hotel operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the hotel, responding to guest repair requests, and supporting preventative maintenance across all areas of the property.

You will work closely with the management team to ensure our facilities reflect the quality and standards our guests expect.

This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone proactive, reliable, and passionate about maintaining exceptional environments.

  • Your Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest repair requests.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and hotel facilities.
  • Inspect tools, systems, and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Identify and operate shut‑off valves and essential building systems when required.
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
  • Record and communicate information for unfinished jobs prior to shift changes.
  • Support general repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and basic HVAC tasks.
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel remain safe, clean, and fully operational.
  • Follow all health & safety and security policies and report hazards immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold Marriott brand standards.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support the team in achieving common goals.

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year of related maintenance or facilities experience (hotel experience advantageous).
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional, reliable, and proactive.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including weekends if required.
