About this opportunity:
We’re looking for an effective and efficient Warehouse Technician to join our Community Equipment Service within Adult Social Care. Westmorland and Furness Council's Community Equipment Service works with partner organisations like the NHS to deliver, install and maintain equipment to help people stay active, comfortable and independent in their own home.
As Warehouse Technician you will assist in the planning, organising and testing of a range of quality equipment, utilising warehousing and stock management systems to ensure efficiency. You will be the first contact for any enquiries, responding to general queries in respect of standard and at times non-standard stock/equipment.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, working effectively and efficiently in line with the needs of our customers. This role can be physically demanding, and you will need the ability to lift heavy items in accordance with Health and Safety procedures. This role also requires a full driving licence with at least 1 year’s driving experience.
