Location: Ulverston. Hours: 21 per week. Salary: £13.47 (£14.00 after 6 months). Contract: Permanent.

We have opportunities for caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic people to join our Day Service team in Ulverston as a Support Worker, providing support and care within our Disability and Mental Health Services.

About Day Services (DMH)

We offer a diverse range of Day Opportunities for adults with learning and/or physical disabilities. The support is highly personalised to meet the needs of the individual, promoting social inclusion and developing independence. We provide exciting and inclusive day opportunities, tailored care programmes and activities that include drama, sport, craft, and a wide range of additional building and community-based activities. The role requires the successful candidate to deliver personal care, including pushing wheelchairs within the community when required.

About the role

As a Day Service Support Worker you will get to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You will also assist with medication, provide personal care and encourage people to achieve their full potential. We are looking for Support Workers who are flexible, enthusiastic, willing to undertake specialised activities and training, whilst also sharing your own personal skills, interests and ideas.
