Are you an experienced surveyor with a passion for delivering high-quality housing services? We are seeking a Housing Landlord Surveyor to join our Housing Property team and help ensure our homes remain safe, compliant, and well maintained for our tenants.

This role is part of the Housing Landlord Service. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of housing assets, undertaking property inspections, diagnosing building defects, specifying repairs, and overseeing remedial works. You will play a key role in maintaining decent homes standards and ensuring value for money across our housing stock. You will also play a key role in ensuring the service meets regulatory standards and maintains its strong building safety, quality and compliance position.

In this role, you will:

• Undertake property inspections and condition surveys.
• Diagnose building defects and specify remedial works.
• Manage responsive repairs, disrepair cases, and void properties.
• Monitor contractor performance and quality of workmanship.
• Support compliance with health and safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide professional surveying advice to internal teams and tenants.
• Assist in the delivery of planned maintenance and improvement programmes.

Who we are looking for…

We are seeking someone who is:

• Relevant surveying qualification (HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent).
• Experience working within social housing, local government, or residential property management.
• Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and housing legislation.
• Strong contract management and project management skills.
• Considerable and Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations within a construction environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• An excellent communicator on all levels with a strong ability to listen and build effective and meaningful relationships, including developing partnerships with external agencies
• Organised and can work to deadlines, prioritising workload to ensure these are met and work is completed effectively
• Able to work well as part of a team and foster good working relationships both within and between teams
• Be non-judgemental and approachable with a customer-focused approach to demonstrate understanding and empathy in delivering a customer-focused service
