Job description

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our social work team in Penrith, following a recent restructure. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact on people\’s lives within a supportive community setting, with the scenic Lake District nearby.

We have introduced a career grade for social workers holding qualifications such as Best Interests assessor, Practice Educator, or AMHP. Regular training opportunities are available to support your career progression at Westmorland and Furness.

Who we are looking for

A passionate and dedicated Social Worker with a Social Work Degree and registration with Social Work England. You should have experience in assessment and support planning, a good knowledge of current legislation, and the ability to make sound decisions in unpredictable situations. Strong communication, management, and collaboration skills are essential, along with a person-centered approach to intervention.
