Westmorland and Furness Council is looking to appoint a Senior Technician to support the management and administrative functions of the Strategic Asset Management Team. We are seeking a friendly and motivated candidate to join our Highways Service as the service continues to grow and develop. The successful candidate will ensure all work activities are carried out with a focus on improvement, attention to detail, and meeting timescales.
Reporting to the Asset Lead and Technical Advisors, this role involves developing, supporting, maintaining, and updating highway GIS and asset data systems. The role requires participation in site investigations in accordance with the Westmorland and Furness Skid Resistance Strategy and assisting in the preparation of priority treatment schemes for the Highways Capital Programme. The candidate will also collate information/data for inclusion in surveys and performance indicators.
