About this opportunity
Cumberland Council is seeking a compassionate and motivated Personal Advisor to support young people leaving care as they transition to independent living. In this vital role, you’ll assess individual needs, coordinate tailored support plans, and work closely with partner agencies to help young people aged 16–24 maximise their life chances. You’ll be a trusted guide, ensuring their voices are heard and their goals are supported every step of the way.
We’re looking for someone with a relevant qualification (DipSW, NVQ Level 4, or equivalent) and at least two years’ experience working with young people. Strong communication skills, a commitment to youth empowerment, and the ability to manage a caseload are essential. In return, you’ll join a supportive team that values professional development and makes a real difference in the lives of young people across Cumbria.
This role is available on a permanent basis.
