About the Role
Working as part of our dedicated Housing Retrofit team, you will help deliver the Warm Homes programme and improve housing standards across Cumbria. Your work will directly involve customers to support and process their applications and give advice on the Government's Warm Homes Programme. In this role, you will:
- Provide a professional and high-level customer experience
- Provide the team with administrative support to assist with the delivery of the programme and contracts, to improve the energy efficiency of residents’ homes.
- Deal with customer enquiries offering advice and process applications.
- Deliver a high-quality service from initial referral through to completion of works, triaging enquiries
- Work closely with partners, contractors, and other professionals whilst building strong relationships
- Keep up to date with legislation and policy changes.

We are seeking someone who is:
- Flexible and dynamic to support the Housing Retrofit team based in Penrith
- Has the ability to organise their work in a logical manner and prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines
- An excellent communicator who can confidently challenge, negotiate, and engage with a wide range of people
- Empathetic and understanding when working with vulnerable individuals and families
- Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality services
- Skilled in IT and comfortable managing data for statutory reports and funding requirements
- Has an understanding of housing services, policies, and legislation
- Confident working in multi-agency environments
- Able to build strong external partnerships and maintain effective working relationships
Ideally, you will have customer experience and a strong administrative background. Above all, you will bring ambition, energy, and a collaborative approach to help continue growing and promoting our Home Improvement Agency.
Whilst this post is based in Penrith, you must have the ability to travel efficiently around the Westmorland and Furness area to support customers, the team and attend meetings.
