We are recruiting for a 37‑hour Supervisor to join our exciting service in Kendal, supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or complex needs. As part of an established Supervisor Team, you will deliver safe, effective, and high‑quality support to individuals living in their own homes within the local community. This role is rewarding and offers opportunities for professional development and teamwork.
As a Supervisor, you will provide strong leadership and engagement, ensuring high‑quality day‑to‑day service delivery. You will support and develop the staff team, helping them reach their full potential individually and collectively. You will work in partnership with others, manage risk effectively, and promote a person‑centred approach to care. You will also maintain accurate service user records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure appropriate and adequate staffing levels to meet assessed needs.
- Manage and review support plans and risk assessments regularly.
- Conduct staff 1:1s and facilitate team meetings in line with policy, ensuring clear communication and information sharing.
- Participate in the on‑call rota as an emergency contact for staff, service users, families, and professionals.
- Promote and maintain high standards of care, support, and encouragement to develop individuals’ independence skills.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the Service Manager and fellow Supervisors, continually developing the service while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and national standards. Key qualities include:
