Location: Castlestead View, Oxenholme
Hourly Rate: £13.69 - £13.90 per hour (£14.43 including supplement – after 6 months)
Hours: 28 hours per week (Fixed Rota), 35 and 36 hours per week (Bank). The Bank roles are 35 or 36 hours per week guaranteed, shifts will be allocated based on service needs and will not follow a fixed rota pattern.
Please note: Extra Care is a 365 day a year, 7 day a week, 24-hour service. This will include weekend and Bank Holiday rotas. Typically, our shifts run between the hours of 7am - 3pm, 2:30pm - 10 pm and 9:45 pm - 7:15 am and are worked over a 2-week rota. The role will involve lone working.
About this Opportunity: Extra Care Housing provides support to people living within a purpose-built independent living community, everyone has their own home environment such as a flat or bungalow. We are looking for caring and compassionate people to join our supportive teams within Extra Care Housing, providing tenants with the right level of support and care, while encouraging and enabling them to achieve or maintain their own independence.
As a Community Support Worker within Extra Care Housing, you will get the opportunity to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You may also assist with medication, providing personal care, meal preparation and any other identified needs.
About Castlestead View: Castlestead View is situated in the village of Oxenholme, near Kendal, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The scheme comprises of 104 properties and the state-of-the-art building features a communal lounge, garden, bistro and hair salon for the residents to enjoy.
