Contract Type: Fixed Term 6 months with potential to extend, either internal secondment or external fixed term

We’re seeking a forward-thinking Business Support Manager, this pivotal role is all about driving efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and championing innovation across business support functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement and explore innovative delivery models aligned with Council strategies.
• Ensure robust systems and procedures are in place to meet statutory and quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex issues with confidence.
• Collaborate with budget holders to monitor resources and identify efficiencies.
• Apply project management principles to support strategic initiatives across the Council.

Who we are looking for…

We’re looking for someone who brings:

• Proven experience in leading business support teams and managing performance.
• A track record of service improvement and change management.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to empower staff in using corporate systems.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and planning abilities.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.
