We have a fantastic opportunity for you tojoin our Finance team at Cumberland Council.

We are seeking a detail-oriented andanalytical finance officer to support our insuranceteam . The role is critical insupporting the management of the Council’s insurance serviceensuring Council policies and relevant legal and regulatoryframeworks are adhered to.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Support the management of the insuranceservice including processing insurance claims.
  • Provide information to support themonitoring of insurance services.
  • Prepare and maintain financialtransactions and records.
  • Prepare reports and information tosupport effective decision making.
  • Build relationships with internal andexternal stakeholders.
  • Maintain financial policies andprocedures to ensure compliance with Council policies andlegislative requirements.
  • Deliver training programmes to budgetmanagers across the Council.
  • Handle sensitive and confidentialinformation with discretion.

This role is available on a permanentbasis. Although its full-time, part time arrangements may beconsidered.
