About thisopportunity
The Financial Systems team is currently hosted by Cumberland Council but will disaggregate during this financial year so that each Council will have their own Financial Systems team. We are looking to recruit a Finance Officer within the newly established Westmorland & Furness Council Financial Systems team.
The post holder will work alongside the hosted team, which is based in Carlisle, until disaggregation takes place on 31st March 2026. This joint approach will allow for knowledge sharing and training for both Councils.
You will be joining a friendly, welcoming and supportive Finance team.
Who we are looking forβ¦
The main purpose of the role is:
- To provide effective day to day support to financial system users including reviewing, prioritising and actioning queries and change requests. This includes providing support to users using remote access software.
- To provide support on development projects including undertaking user acceptance testing and the update of project plans, issues and risk logs.
- To maintain the test and training systems to ensure they are fit for purpose including creation of master data and transactional data as required for specific training requirements. To undertake regular reviews of the training content and guidance.
- To deliver training programmes including classroom based and development of online tutorials.
