About this opportunity
The Financial Systems team is currently hosted by Cumberland Council but will disaggregate during this financial year so that each Council will have their own Financial Systems team. We are looking to recruit two Finance Administrators within the newly established Westmorland & Furness Council Financial Systems team.
The post holders will work alongside the hosted team, which is based in Carlisle, until disaggregation takes place on 31st March 2026. This joint approach will allow for knowledge sharing and training for both Councils.
You will be joining a friendly, welcoming and supportive Finance team.
Who we are looking for
The main purpose of the role is:
- To provide first line support dealing with routine financial system queries and requests.
- To process interface files on a timely basis.
- Administer financial system control processes.
- Support development projects and assist with regular system testing.
