Job description
Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking a Digital Service Design Officer to join its Digital Innovation Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a digital transformation journey, improving how residents interact with the Council by developing accessible, user-centered digital services across all Directorates.
The role involves working on transformation projects, identifying opportunities for digital improvements, shaping service design, leading delivery, and embedding new ways of working. The focus is on increasing self-service and optimizing digital platforms, including the CRM system, aligning with the Council\’s Customer Strategy and customer design principles.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering digital change within complex organizations, managing or supporting service design and transformation projects. Strong stakeholder engagement, constructive challenge of existing practices, and the ability to lead digital improvements are essential. Excellent communication, analytical skills, and experience in performance management, customer engagement, and process mapping are required.
