Community Support Worker (Extra Care Housing) Kirkby Stephen

The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

A market supplement is currently being applied to all night and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shifts, uplifting your hourly rate in these periods to between £17.68 – £17.96. This will replace any previous market supplements and will apply to both your contracted hours and to any additional hours worked within the applicable time periods.

Location: Mill Gardens, Kirkby Stephen

Available Hours: 30.75 hours per week

Please note: Extra Care is a 365 day a year, 7 day a week, 24-hour service. This will include weekend and Bank Holiday rotas. Typically, our shifts run between the hours of 7am – 3pm, 2:30pm till 10 pm and 9:45 pm till 7:15 am and are worked over a 2-week rota. The role will involve lone working

Extra care housing offers people the freedom to continue living as independently as possible in their community, in one of our purpose-built Extra Care Housing settings. We offer on-site care and support services, tailored to meet the individual needs of the people we support.

We are looking for caring and compassionate people to join our supportive teams within Extra Care Housing, providing tenants with the right level of support and care, while encouraging and enabling them to achieve or maintain their own independence.

As a Community Support Worker within Extra Care Housing, you will get the opportunity to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You may also assist with medication, providing personal care, meal preparation and any other identified needs.
