Our teams are looking to recruit more like-minded people to enable Service Users to access personalised support to live independently in their own homes and access their local communities. Our teams promote independence, build lifeskills and support Service Users in their interests and hobbies, such as trips to the Zoo, evenings of live entertainment, boating in the Lakes, or supporting football teams.
As a relief member of our team, your hours will be “as and when required”, working around your availability. Where possible, advance notice will be given for shifts to cover short and long-term absences within Kendal Supported Living Service.
Responsibilities
- Support with medication, personal care, nutrition, hydration, community engagement and emotional care, as required by the individual service user.
- Promote independence and support service users to access local communities and activities.
- Provide person-centred support based on individual care plans and needs.
What we offer
You will be entitled to the same benefits as contracted employees, including a thorough and supportive induction with fully paid training and shadowing. A market supplement applies to night and weekend shifts, raising the hourly rate during those periods to approximately £17.68 – £17.96. A JWC supplement (included in base rate) may apply depending on role conditions.
