What you’ll be doing:
- As Head Chef, you’ll oversee the seamless operation of our kitchen, ensuring that each dish - whether it’s for our new Tapas Restaurant - Lirica, Breakfast, Meetings and Events or Room Service - delivers on quality and presentation.
- You’ll lead with adaptability and drive, setting high standards across every service.
- Your responsibilities will include recruiting, training, and developing a proud and passionate team, inspiring them to bring out their full potential.
- Additionally, you’ll foster an environment where team members feel valued and engaged, helping them to thrive within a culture that’s both inclusive and focused on real growth.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience multi-outlet kitchen, showcasing bold culinary skills and innovative practices.
- Relevant Certificate III in Cookery qualifications and experience in a similar role.
- A valid Food Safety Certificate, demonstrating commitment to real food safety standards.
- Knowledge of various cuisines, embracing diversity and creativity in menu development.
- Strong understanding of HACCP and OH&S regulations to ensure a safe and compliant kitchen environment.
- Acknowledgment of the importance of brigade work, fostering a supportive and inclusive team atmosphere.
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends, to meet the demands of our busy hotel.
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards in a dynamic team environment.
- Skills in coaching and motivating less experienced kitchen team members, helping them reach their full potential.
