We are looking for a kind and confident Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our first-floor dining area. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a busy restaurant with a seasonal menu, strong wine knowledge, and excellent communication skills. They will be interested in responsible sourcing, passionate about hospitality, and committed to team development.
The Culpeper is part of a family of four pubs (and a small farm in Deptford). We focus on seasonality, quality ingredients, responsible sourcing and team member happiness. We believe in hospitality as a force for good.
Responsibilities- Lead from the front and set the tone for the standards, service and culture in the restaurant.
- Offer warm and professional hospitality to all of our guests.
- Conduct daily briefings to motivate and inspire the team.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the restaurant.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members.
- Collaborate with the senior management team, including the kitchen and bar teams, to ensure all menus are seasonal and exciting.
- Collaborate with the Reservations and Events team to ensure we maximise the space, including the rooftop top and offer a seamless service for all types of reservations and events.
- Ensure strong and consistent sales through product knowledge training and high standards.
- Analyse daily and weekly sales to ensure accurate forecasting for the rota.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment at all times.
- Previous experience working in a similar role and environment.
- A genuine interest in responsible food and drinks sourcing.
- A passion for training and developing team members.
- An awareness of and a genuine interest in the current UK hospitality industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs (48 hours per week, across 5 days, including evenings and weekends).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
