Award-winning luxury cruise specialist The Cruise Line is looking to expand its Reservations Team to service growing business demands. You will be working alongside our highly experienced and friendly team of Voyage Consultants, servicing new and existing high-net-worth clients.
This is a role for someone ready to hit the ground running. We're looking for a proven luxury cruise salesperson who already understands the product, the clientele and the pace of a high-performing sales team. Just as importantly, you'll be a natural self-starter, comfortable taking the initiative to build and nurture your own client portfolio rather than waiting for enquiries to land.
As a company, we are passionate about investing in our team's development, so you'll have numerous opportunities to sharpen your sales skills and deepen your cruise industry knowledge, supported by your colleagues and our cruise partners. You’ll also benefit from an uncapped commission scheme.
Key responsibilities
- To service cruise holiday enquiries and booking requests online, by phone, and in person from both new and existing clients and travel agents.
- Consistently strive to always provide industry-leading, best-in-class service to generate high customer satisfaction scores and long-term client loyalty.
- Play a pivotal role in every client's customer journey, from the initial enquiry stage to their return home.
- Proactively cultivate your own client portfolio, using channels such as social media, targeted mail merges and personal follow-ups to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Create bespoke ATOL packages that fulfil the requirements of your clients and the business, while also selling those created by your colleagues.
- Undertake time-sensitive outbound call campaigns to generate leads and possible bookings.
- To manage and prioritise a varied, often pressurised, workload while also assisting colleagues and stakeholders where required.
- Undertake regular training sessions and appraisals with a view to enhancing product awareness and performance.
- To attend client-facing events, trade and consumer shows as and when required.
About you
- You have a proven track record in luxury cruise sales, ideally with at least 2 years' experience selling premium or ultra-luxury cruise product and can demonstrate the results to back it up.
- You're a self-starter who takes ownership of your own pipeline, confident in generating leads and building a loyal client base through your own initiative across channels such as social media and direct outreach.
- You are target-driven, passionate about selling, and can draw on a range of sales-orientated techniques to close leads.
- You strive to increase the value of each booking by taking advantage of opportunities to upsell, repackage and add ancillary products.
- Whether by email, phone, or in-person, you boast exceptional communication skills and can seamlessly adapt to the needs of your clients.
- You're enthused at the prospect of building a portfolio of loyal clients who generate long-term customer value.
- Strong IT skills are a must. Alongside the Microsoft Office suite (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word), we use various reservation systems, booking platforms and an in-house Salesforce CRM.
