Purpose of Role:
Join a team that’s redefining how quality management supports health, safety, security, environment, and wellbeing (HSSEW) across the business. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and embed quality management into the heart of the Safety First strategy—ensuring that every project, process, and person is aligned with best-in-class standards.
You’ll work across teams and disciplines to build capability, drive innovation (including AI and digital tools), and ensure that quality is not just a compliance requirement—but a cultural cornerstone. Key Accountabilities
- Champion the integration of quality management into the Safety First strategy and communicate its value across the business.
- Ensure quality management principles support our approach to both physical health and mental health and are prioritised equally alongside safety in all construction phases.
- Maintain legal compliance across health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose quality management system aligned with UK legislation and best practices.
- Embed quality requirements into core business processes (e.g. development gateways, building management systems).
- Collaborate with HSSEW and business teams to ensure training, reporting, and assurance models reflect quality management needs.
- Lead quality assurance during construction, selecting and managing external expertise where needed.
- Build leadership capability and awareness of quality management across development roles.
- Identify and implement AI and digital innovations to enhance quality outcomes.
- Promote root cause analysis and continuous learning through effective reporting and assurance.
- Support broader business needs, including emergency response and cross-functional projects.
Most important skills based requirements:
- Quality management qualifications, (incl. 9001 Lead Auditor)
- Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, orequivalent) desirable
- Understanding of quality management and document management bestpractice and requirements
- Proven experience in quality management delivery in high hazardindustry such as construction and deep experience of offshore or highand major hazard environments desirable
- Experience of quality management integration with HSE management
- Experience of developing, implementing quality management tools suchas inspection and test plans
- Expert knowledge in Principal Designer and Client CDM duties
- Ability to provide training and guidance on best practices qualitymanagement in CDM, development and operational activity
- Understanding of product design and quality control
- Experience in quality standards in BIM application for stronger riskmanagement
- Experience and qualifications in conducting root cause analysis andproviding training on root cause analysis techniques
