- Developing and reviewing tender documentation, and running the tender query process with a full audit trail.
- Advising and supporting project managers who run smaller 'self-service' tenders.
- Keeping our procurement pipeline accurate and up to date with stakeholders.
- Supporting larger, strategic procurements, including moderations, presentations and bidder dialogue sessions.
- Taking oversight of selected key contracts and helping colleagues apply the terms correctly.
- Building sustainability and social value into procurements, and improving our tender processes as you go.
- Applying procurement governance so our decisions are auditable and audit-ready.
What we're looking for:
- Experience managing end-to-end procurement across a range of categories, ideally using e-tendering software.
- A strong grasp of public sector procurement and Public Procurement Regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and numeracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to deliver training.
- A solution-focused approach and a willingness to innovate and improve processes.
- CIPS qualified or working towards it is desirable.
