We're looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our Regional portfolio, providing financial leadership, robust governance and commercial challenge that helps shape investment decisions and long-term value creation.
Why This Role Matters
As Commercial Finance Manager (Regional), you will be the trusted finance partner to the Regional portfolio team, taking ownership of financial performance, forecasting, reporting and joint venture governance.
You'll provide the insight and challenge needed to support strategic decision-making while ensuring the highest standards of financial control and compliance.
Working at the heart of the business, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Portfolio Management, Development, Strategy and Investment, as well as external Joint Venture partners, helping to maximise performance and deliver sustainable value.
- What You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading Financial Performance & Strategic Planning
- Own financial reporting for the Regional portfolio, delivering clear, accurate and insightful analysis.
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning processes in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Monitor portfolio performance and valuation movements, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Present financial performance and recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.
- Driving Joint Venture Governance & Reporting Excellence
- Act as the finance lead for Regional Joint Ventures.
- Ensure all financial reporting is accurate, compliant and aligned to governance requirements and contractual agreements.
- Build strong relationships with Joint Venture partners and act as the primary finance contact.
- Maintain robust controls and governance across all JV activities.
- Supporting Investment, Development & Commercial Decision-Making
- Provide financial input into development opportunities, asset management initiatives and investment decisions.
- Deliver scenario modelling, business cases and commercial analysis to support strategic objectives.
- Partner with business teams to manage costs, improve performance and identify value creation opportunities.
- Support acquisition, disposal and onboarding activity across the portfolio.
- Building Capability & Leading a High-Performing Team
- Lead, coach and develop a small finance team.
- Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and commercial thinking.
- Support the development of robust financial modelling capability across the team.
- Set high standards for technical excellence, governance and stakeholder engagement.
What We're Looking For
- Commercial Real Estate Finance Expertise
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
- Excellent background in commercial real estate, property, investment or asset management finance.
- Experience leading financial reporting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
- Great understanding of governance frameworks and Joint Venture reporting.
- Commercial Insight & Analytical Strength
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into practical business recommendations.
- Advanced financial modelling skills and experience reviewing and challenging modelling outputs.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting investment, development or asset management decisions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Influencing & Leadership Skills
- Experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and confidently to non-financial audiences.
