As People Project Assistant, you will provide proactive, high‑quality support to the Executive Director, People & Culture, enabling the smooth running of the People & Culture function and supporting delivery of strategic priorities. This is a developmental role, designed to build a strong foundation for a long‑term career in People & Culture. You will combine exceptional organisation, sound judgement and discretion with a strong growth mindset, playing an active role in shaping how the function operates, evolves and makes effective use of digital and AI‑enabled tools.

This role offers exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute across planning, governance, communication and project activity within People & Culture. Key accountabilities include:

  • Managing the Executive Director’s diary and inbox, ensuring effective prioritisation, preparation and follow‑through
  • Acting as a key liaison with senior stakeholders, enabling clear and timely flow of information
  • Supporting meetings through high‑quality briefings, papers, Board packs and presentations
  • Providing structured project support across People & Culture initiatives, tracking actions and supporting delivery
  • Supporting planning cycles and governance to ensure progress and outcomes are visible and well managed
  • Contributing to the use of digital and AI‑enabled tools to improve efficiency, insight and ways of working
  • Producing and coordinating accurate people data and supporting reporting activity
  • Championing continuous improvement, innovation and values‑aligned ways of working across the function

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work at pace with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience in a people, service or customer‑focused environment, with exposure to project or coordination support
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, demonstrating discretion, professionalism and sound judgement
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including producing high‑quality presentations and briefings
  • Proactive, curious and adaptable mindset, with a commitment to learning and continuous improvement
  • Interest in digital tools and AI, with the ability to apply technology to improve efficiency and ways of working
  • High level of competence in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and confidence adopting new systems
  • Collaborative, inclusive working style aligned to organisational values
