About The Role:
An innovative and socially responsible architecture and interior design studio are looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join their collaborative and successful team. Our client is a leading name in the industry who have carved a name for themselves over the years as being leaders in their field and have demonstrated their commitment to sustainable design.
Having previous experience as a Sustainability Consultant, you will join the company’s sustainability team to help drive the company’s sustainably mission and strategy forward in relation to building physics. This role offers an opportunity to build on your existing skills and knowledge and will manage and develop juniors to help facilitate growth of the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for residential design, an understanding of current and proposed energy legislation in the UK and hold a collaborative and team orientated mindset. You will be working with a creative and innovative team who are passionate about a tangible change for a green future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the studio employs the best sustainable practices across design principles
- Improve general knowledge of sustainability and regenerative design across the studio
- Perform energy modelling, daylight/sunlight analysis and overheating assessments
- Ensure the studio’s framework for sustainability is used across all projects
- Support the design team in the net zero carbon targets
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, processes and legislation
- Preparation of sustainability reports
- Line manage and develop junior team members
- Work with the senior team to develop and drive the company’s sustainability strategy
Key Skills/Requirements :
- Experience with at least 2 of the following: One Click LCA, Energy, Daylight/sunlight, Overheating or Thermal Bridging
- Relevant sustainability qualifications
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and experience using Energy modelling software
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Passion for residential design
- Line management experience
