Our client, a globally recognised design consultancy specialising in wayfinding and strategic planning, is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Project Manager to join their close-knit London team on a permanent basis. Working across complex, international projects, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of client work from initial onboarding through to completion. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, working closely with Designers and Creative Directors to maintain strong relationships, manage expectations and ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to a high standard. Experience working on projects across the Middle East/Gulf region is essential for this role, alongside a strong understanding of complex project lifecycles, project governance and commercial management. You will be comfortable taking ownership of project roadmaps, budgets, forecasting and reporting, while confidently navigating changing priorities, risks and unexpected requests. Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end delivery of client projects across multiple workstreams, working closely with Project Leads and Creative Directors
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, dashboards, milestones and delivery plans
- Manage project budgets, revenue forecasting and overall commercial health
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and manage unexpected changes or detours
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships from onboarding through to project completion
- Act as a key link between clients, creative teams and wider business support functions
- Prepare financial and performance reports for senior leadership and the commercial team
- Coordinate project invoicing and work closely with the finance team to resolve any payment issues
- Identify opportunities for account growth and develop new scopes of work with clients
- Support the Business Development team with proposals, presentations, prospecting and market research
- Contribute to client meetings, industry events and conferences where appropriate
- Ensure subcontractor requirements are appropriately coordinated and costed within project budgets
- Maintain accurate project documentation, meeting minutes, risk logs and other governance processes
- Support less experienced team members and contribute to continuous improvement across the studio
Key Skills/Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a client-facing Project Management or Account Management role within an urban design, architecture, engineering or creative consultancy
- Proven experience managing projects across the Middle East/Gulf region is essential
- Strong experience managing complex, multi-stage project lifecycles and multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting revenue and identifying opportunities for scope growth
- Excellent understanding of project governance, including roadmaps/Gantt charts, milestones, risk logs and document control
- Confident managing client relationships and navigating changing requirements, competing priorities and unexpected challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear and actionable formats
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership and work autonomously while collaborating effectively with wider teams
- Comfortable presenting and communicating with senior stakeholders
- Proficient in Google G-Suite, Excel, CRM systems and project management software; ClickUp or equivalent is essential
- Experience within wayfinding, spatial design, active travel or a related field would be advantageous
- Experience working with globally dispersed teams is desirable
